Bookkeeping for healthcare practices that's accurate, on time, and actually understood.

Whitfield Ledger is a bookkeeping firm working specifically with dental and optometry practices across New England.

Most practices we talk to are running QuickBooks themselves, paying a local bookkeeper a few hundred a month, or sending receipts to their CPA at year-end. All three usually leave the owner with messy books, surprise tax bills, and no real visibility into the practice through the year.

We work differently. Three commitments, every month:
— Your books close by the 10th of the following month. Every month.
— You get clean financial statements you can actually read — not just a P&L dump.
— A 15-minute monthly call walks through what the numbers say: anomalies, trends, anything worth flagging.

That's it. Reliable numbers, on a schedule, explained in plain language.

What we do, and what it costs.Whitfield Ledger handles your practice's monthly bookkeeping end to end: transaction categorization, bank and credit card reconciliation, clean monthly financial statements, and a monthly review call. We work in QuickBooks Online. We handle financial data only — never patient health information. We don't do tax returns or financial advisory. We keep your books ready so your CPA can do that work without a year-end fire drill.Essential — $950/month. Practices under $1M in revenue, simple structure.
Professional — $1,500/month. Practices $1–3M in revenue, moderate complexity.
Premium — $2,400/month. Practices $3–5M in revenue, significant complexity — multiple providers, multiple locations, high transaction volume.
Six-month initial agreement, then month-to-month. No early-termination fees during the initial term.
